Bio

Cape Town born Melissa da Costa has spent her life up till now behind a camera.

Her love for photography and capturing every day beauty led her to Stellenbosch University, where she studied Fine Art, utilising photography as her preferred medium.

Her university work dealt mainly with consumer culture and human-animal space relations, although in her free time she enjoys photographing portraits, both in and out of the studio, and capturing images of special events.

After graduating, Melissa went on to study a postgraduate degree in journalism, and is now exploring Japan.
